Why do we feel so good when we see baby animals?

Good Morning 🌞

Welcome to another day of Joy Hour

Why do we feel so good when we see baby animals?

Isn’t this just the cutest? 🥺

We’re wired to find baby animals adorable, and it's all because of our natural urge to take care of our own little ones. This caring instinct extends to any young animal that remotely resembles a human baby. Those big eyes and round faces trigger something in us, making us feel all warm inside and eager to protect them, just as we would with our own children.

David Barash, a psychology professor at the University of Washington, puts it nicely: “Humans are animals too, and our babies—as well as the young of most other species—share certain adorable features.”

I’ve got some of my favorite videos here that just warm my heart. I hope they bring a smile to you too!
